I can't hear anything when I press the play button

Go to the 'Options' menu and select 'Playback Settings'. Select a MIDI output device to suit your current system. If you are using your computer's soundcard as an output device check that the speakers or headphones are connected correctly and the volume is turned up.

I get an error message saying 'A fatal error has occurred, I cannot find the file...' and then the program terminates

One of GuitarPower's system files is missing. Re-install the program.

When installing I get an error message saying 'Zip damaged:...Bad CRC...'

Your internet download has failed. Delete the downloaded file and try again.

I get the error message 'MMSYS004 The specified device is already in use...'

Close GuitarPower and then close any other music/audio programs that are running. GuitarPower should now start correctly.

I get the error message 'MMSYS002 The specified device is out of range...'

This is most likely a problem with your soundcard installation. To check the status of your soundcard:

• Select 'Settings' then 'Control Panel' from the taskbar.
• Double-Click the 'System' icon and the select the 'Device Manager' tab.
• Click the + sign next to 'Sound, Video and Game Controllers'
• Select the appropriate device and then 'Properties' for detailed information

If you are unable to fix the problem, reinstalling the soundcard drivers may help.
